TEHRAN - On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (S), a 4-ton cake will be baked by the holy household of Imamzadeh Saleh (AS)

[son of the seventh Imam of the Shia Sect, Imam Mousa Kazem (AS)], and will be distributed to the people.

The head of the public relations office of the household, Mr. Mir-Ja'fari, said that the cost of baking the cake will be borne by donors, and 10 gallons of Zam Zam water provided by the Shemiranant Hajj Organization from Mecca will be among the ingredients used.

He further said that a ceremony for the baking of the cake in the holy household of Imamzadeh Saleh (AS) will be observed in which Imamzadeh Saleh (AS), who is one of the children of the infallible household, gives a gift to his grandfather the Holy Prophet Mohammad (S).

Mir-Ja'fari said that the cake will consist of 5 layers representing the five closest members known as Aal-e Aba, the closest relatives of the Prophet. The first layer of the cake will be adorned by 12 petals representing the 12 Imams.

He further said that since some foreign Shia and Sunni guests will be attending the ceremony, the names of the 12 Imams will be inscribed on the petals.

Some 610 kilos of cream and 12,000 eggs will be used to bake the cake.
